Jan 17, 2025 Welcome, Quentin Rickey!
All of us at Leonard Rickey Investment Advisors want to welcome and introduce our newest member of the team, Quentin Rickey! Quentin started working at Leonard Rickey Investment Advisors in December 2024. He graduated from Gonzaga University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in Accounting and Finance and in 2023 with a Master of Accounting. He spent the last year in public accounting and received his CPA license.
Describe an interesting hobby or pastime that you have.
I love to do anything outdoors! I love hiking, camping, and rock climbing.
What is a dream that you want to make come true one day?
I would love to climb Mount Rainier sometime soon. Last summer, I climbed Mount St. Helens and Mount Adams, and I loved the experience, so I’m hoping to climb a few more peaks this year and build up to climbing the highest point in Washington!
Do you follow any sports teams?
I am a big soccer fan, my favorite teams being the Seattle Sounders and Liverpool FC in the English Premier League. I also love supporting my alma mater, Gonzaga, in basketball, which is particularly fun in March!
What movie genres interest you the most?
My favorite movie genres are comedy and action movies, although I enjoy any good movie and a bowl of popcorn. This year I have a goal to watch every movie on the Top 50 Movies of All Time list by IMDb.
Would you rather cook or order in?
I enjoy cooking, so I usually prefer to cook over ordering in. I like trying out new recipes, but my go-to is fried rice.
How do you take your coffee?
To quote Special Agent Dale Cooper from the TV series Twin Peaks, “Black as midnight on a moonless night”.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
My favorite concert I’ve been to is Paul McCartney at the Spokane Arena. It was his first time playing in Spokane, and he played plenty of Beatles classics along with songs from his solo career.
What’s something that you’ve always wanted to try or learn?
I’ve wanted to learn how to ski for some time now. I already have plans to go for my first time this year, so I am very excited to give it a go!
What has been your most meaningful accomplishment so far?
Last year, I got my CPA license, which took a lot of time, studying, and hard work. It was really exciting when I finally got my Washington State CPA license!
If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why?
I would choose teleportation. I enjoy seeing new places but don’t enjoy all the travel time. It would be great to be able to teleport anywhere in the world. Plus, I would never have to deal with traffic again!
