Nov 22, 2024 Our Fall Favorites!
Happy Fall! We asked our team to answer a fall themed question to share some of our favorite fall things with you. We hope you are enjoying this season, and we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Ben: Where would you want to travel during Fall?
Mountains around Leavenworth are stunning in the fall.
Joy: What is your favorite Fall activity?
I love to go on runs and hikes in the Fall. It is the perfect weather because it’s crisp but not too cold and it’s usually not windy like the Spring. It’s the best time of year to see nature’s beauty in full display with the changing color of the leaves and beautiful sky.
Gunnar: What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
Deep frying a turkey every year.
Vicky: Where would you want to travel during Fall?
I’ve always wanted to visit Salem, Massachusetts in the fall to experience the historic sites, museums, and haunted attractions, especially with all the Halloween energy in the air! The history and mystery have always fascinated me. But I’m also torn because I’d love to relax by Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, soaking in the beautiful autumn foliage and peaceful waterfront views. There’s something so calming about being surrounded by nature, especially with the vibrant colors of fall.
Molly: What movie or TV show reminds you of Fall?
When Harry Met Sally
Dirk: What is your favorite fall tradition?
We host a pumpkin carving party with friends, we make homemade clam chowder, and recently my wife joined the sourdough making craze to make it all the better. it’s a tradition we done every year for 15+ years.
Liz: If you were going to a Fall dinner party, what dish are you bringing?
Twice-baked potatoes loaded with bacon, cheese, chives, sour cream, and butter.
Susan: What is your favorite fall comfort food?
My husband’s homemade chili!
Jacqueline: What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
Going to my Grandma’s house where the whole family likes to gather together. We all bring different dishes, while we come early to help Grandma with the turkey and ham. We play some Thanksgiving games to work up an appetite for when the food is ready. Then we eat Thanksgiving meal together, which leads to us all getting full and wanting to nap.
Matt: What is your favorite Fall activity?
Hiking in the woods and seeing all the trees turn color.
Michelle: Craziest Thing I have done on Black Friday.
One year my sister and I took my kids Black Friday shopping at midnight. We stopped and had breakfast at 3am and continued on our way. Call me crazy, but it was a wonderful time spent with my kids. And we have never done that again
Glenn: What movie or TV show reminds you of Fall?
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Chelsie: What is your favorite fall comfort food?
Soup – as soon as we start seeing the fall weather my family knows we will have soup and rolls probably once a week. Our favorite is Zuppa Toscana!
