Aug 19, 2024 Employee Spotlight: Michelle Zurcher
Michelle Zurcher has been with Leonard Rickey Investment Advisors since July 2017 as our Client Service Manager out of our Yakima office. You can learn some more about Michelle below:
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the opportunity to impact our client’s financial well-being. I find it incredibly fulfilling to assist clients in navigating their financial journeys, helping them achieve their goals, and providing peace of mind through the sound financial advice they receive from our firm. The collaborative environment with my colleagues and the continuous learning in the ever-evolving financial landscape keep me engaged and motivated.
Share a picture of something important to you.
My family: my husband, Tim; Daughter Malia and her husband, Sean; daughter Hailey and her wife, Raley; son Connor and his girlfriend, Erin.
Do you follow any sports teams?
I am an enthusiastic hockey fan. My son and I travel to Canada once a year to watch the Calgary Flames in action. While I’ve been a lifelong Winnipeg Jets fan, I also cheer for the Seattle Kraken whenever they’re not playing my Jets. I love supporting the Tri-City Americans and the Everett Silvertips, as they represent the future of the NHL.
What’s a cause that you are passionate about?
I’m deeply passionate about early colon cancer detection. My sister passed away at a young age from this disease, and it is heartbreaking to see it affecting younger people more and more. If I could share one message with the world, it would be to get tested as early as possible. If I can help even one family avoid the pain of losing a loved one, that would be the greatest gift I could ask for.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
My sisters and I make it a point to attend any Elton John concert we can. We were fortunate to see him perform at Dodger Stadium during his farewell tour. It was amazing!
What’s your favorite memory from working at the company?
There are countless memorable moments with the LRIA Team, but I would have to highlight our gatherings where we can unplug and enjoy each other’s company. It is always a pleasure to learn something new about my colleagues.
