Jul 3, 2025 Celebrating Independence—Both National and Financial
As we celebrate this 4th of July, I want to take a moment to wish you and your family a joyful, safe, and meaningful holiday. It’s a time to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the progress we continue to make—personally, nationally, and financially.
- The first half of 2025 has been full of surprises:
- Early-year market corrections1
- One of the fastest recoveries on record2
- Shifting interest rate expectations and evolving trade policy3
- Outperformance of international markets4
Despite the headlines—from tariffs and inflation concerns to geopolitical tensions—markets have shown resilience5, and long-term investors have been rewarded for staying the course. The fundamentals remain strong6, and the outlook continues to offer opportunities for those who remain diversified and disciplined.
Here are a few themes we’re keeping a close eye on:
- Economic Resilience: Consumer spending, low unemployment, and moderating inflation are keeping the U.S. economy on a stable footing7.
- Diversification is Working: International markets, small- and mid-caps, and value sectors are all contributing to returns this year8.
- Opportunities Beyond Tech: The “Magnificent Seven” aren’t the only story—many sectors are quietly gaining ground9.
- Interest Rate Outlook: The Fed is expected to begin cutting rates this year, with cautious optimism toward 2026.10
It’s a great time to pause and reflect on how your financial strategy is aligned with your life goals. If you have questions or want to schedule a mid-year review, I’d love to connect.
As always, thank you for your continued trust. Wishing you a celebration full of family, freedom, and fireworks!
With appreciation,
Leonard Rickey Investment Advisors
